Possibly, although any SCSI errors shouldn't affect the IDE interface at all
as they're arent even on the same card. Also even if the ide interface
doesn't get going the hard disk should still spin up normally, not make
strange clicking noises.

All in all it seems to be something more complex then just jumper
mis-config, after all when my BPPC's scsi cable broke the cd-rom didn't
work, (it constantly brought up a "phase mis-match error" and didn't appear
on WB) but the IDE interface still worked
