I am going crazy. I do not know what to do here :((

Yesterday, I got so angry about the whole situation that I decided to
re-install OS3.9.
What a terrible mistake. I spent the whole night and day trying to get my
boot partition back to normal, using a very old backup and re-installing
OS3.5, 3.9, CGX4.2. I replaced the WB loadwb with the MagellanII version and, on the
surface, everything seemed back to normal.

Unfortunately, once again I could not visualize a backdrop on my WB
MagellanII screen, the booting procedure does not complete itself due to
AMIDOCK in the wbstartup which could not, AT TIMES, manage to load the
background texture giving me a frozen WB.
I removed AMIDOCK and managed to boot up there system.

I can`t viusualize any jpeg from a DOpus lister and on top of that, the drawing of the windows (i.e. YAM, MIAMI, WB Windows, write window from YAM) is, _quite_ slow when moved the first time.

I got so angry that I decided to forget about AKDT (even if I paied the
registration) and downloaded warpjpeg (060) and warpdtprefs as Oliver suggested.

I followed the installation procedure which, removed all the JFIF descriptors
from my sys:classes and devs.

I then rebooted just to notice that the problem was still there.

I can`t visualize jpegs, can`t load warpdt from prefs (when I double click
on it nothing happens) and, if I load IB2.2 I get
IBrowse was unable to open the following image file:
Navigation (error 2000)
Please check that the file is installed and that you have the correct
dataype to be able to load the image.

Also, as I mentioned before I cannot load any 24 IFF when I double click on
DOpus lister.

Now, in DOPUS File Types settings I have a IFF file which uses SHOW to visualize the file
(I think it works with 8bit IFF).

I also have Picture IFF ILBM (with nothing in Icon menu)
Picture IFF ILBM12bit (nothing in icon menu)
Picture JPEG (Which, in Icon Menu loads the akLJPEG,.prefs)
Picture JFIF JPEG (Which, in icon menu, loads the akJFIF.prefs)

I guess something has to be changed there

Then, here are some, hopefully, useful information which I got when I called
the version command:
warpjpeg.datatype 44.20 (12/04/01)
ilbm.datatype 40.2 (29/04/93)
picture.datatype 42.1 (15/03/94)

Now, what is strange is that the actual version of the above datatypes is
different. If I look at them with a HEX software or use the READ command
from DOpus I get
ilbm.datatype 44.9
picture.datatype 45.7

What the hell is going on there?

That does not happen for warpjpege.datatype and cgxsystem.library for
example where the version does not change.

cgxsystem.library 42.4

I am using DOpus as WBR and in the enviroment settings I have

display workbench use

In my prefs dir I have noticed I have ScreenMode and MUIScreenMode as well.
Screenmode is on
BVisionPPC 16bit 1024x768
color is ghosted to 64K

But, if i run the MUIScreenMode I have
BVisionPPC 16bit 1024x768
but color is set to 256.
Even If I change it to 6553 and choose save when I load it again it is still
on 256.

I don`t know what else to do. I can understand that the situation might be a
bit messy (using an old backup and re-installing the 2 new Amiga OS with
the latest BoinBang patch).

I could really do with some help here.

thank you
