Had problems myself when installing 3.9. Fonts okay though. No crashes
there with my system.
On advice from PowerComputing, I installed on a totally empty partition.
Try installing again from scratch.

Wordsworth 7 keeps initially crashing on this system too. It takes several
tries, but eventually works.
I'd like the answer on this one too.
