There may be no use for the packaging, but the contents can provide hours
of amusement. I've got a pile of AOL (and others) CDs about 2 feet tall just
waiting until I can find the time to do something useful with them.

I think I can decorate at least 1 wall of a small room with them, to give a slightly
odd mirror effect.

They could also make attractive christmas decorations. And they can keep
small children amused for hours.

Throwing them straight up in the air as high as you can makes an amusing
whistling noise. (It's the hole, I presume. Make sure you do it outside, and
preferablly get out of the way before it lands).

And if you can do it right, you can break them in interesting ways by slowly
applying pressure to opposite edges with your thumb and a finger. The shiny
inside bit of a CD can be quite sparkly when they break. (Have a hoover handy,
and don't aim it at anyone's face).

So just be happy to have the contents and ignore the packaging. The contents are
shiny. Shiny things are good.

And yeah, I've had one of those days that makes me ramble on about any old nonsense
given the slightest hint of an excuse ;)
