Hello Liz

I have an Apollo 1240 fitted and until last night I had exactly the
same problem as you (I didn't see your original mail but from what I
gather your miggy is crashing during startup-sequence unless you
disable the CPU caches from the early startup menu. Here is how I managed
to cure it (at least it hasn't crased on startup. YET!!!).
Stick some floppy disks under your amiga (I have 4 stacks of three disks
under each corner of my amiga) leaving the trapdoor lid off (how on earth
can a trapdoor have a lid ;-? use an A500 PSU (I'm using one of the light
ones). When I checked last night I found that my simm board was in the
socket at a slight angle, if yours is too take the board out and put it in
again. Oh and this is a bit obvious but is the card connected properly. The
first time I plugged my card in it wasn't in all the way (stop sniggering
at the back ;-) so I took it out and plugged it in again.

Hope this helps
Seeya

Dave
