I have just found this piece about OS4 and Dopus Magellan2 on the Czech news
site archive 5/5/2001.

What i find interesting is the idea of using Dopus as a starting point for a
new front end GUI for amiga OS4. The only thing is they want to sell the
source code for the amiga version at US$25K.
I personally would love to have Dopus Magellan 2 properly intergrated in
OS4, to just double click anywhere and get a lister to appear would be
really nice. There are many other features that could enhance the Amiga OS
but i suppose it comes down to money and if H&P would do it (acording to
the above "they laughed when we offered it to them").
Does anyone else think this would be a good idea? Are there enough good
features in Magellan 2 to justify the price? Or is it time to make a clean
break?
