Subject:OS 3.9 Emergency Boot Problems. Help !

Hi all 8)

I finally decided to buy OS 3.9, and I am finding it *impossible*
to create the Emergency Boot Disk from the OS 3.9 installer.
Everytime I boot from the Emergency Boot Disk, the OS 3.9 CD
begins to boot and I receive these errors (some appear randomly
each time I boot from my Emergency Disk)

1) OS 3.9 CD begins to boot, gets to end, then black screen
(nothing !)

2) Setpatch: program failed #80000004 (guru)

3) Setpatch: bad loadfile hunk

4) C:Version: bad loadfile hunk

5) C:Mount: bad loadfile hunk

6) Workbench: program failed: #80000006 (guru)

7) C:Mount: program failed: #80000003 (guru)

8) On other occassions when booting my Emergency Boot Disk, OS 3.9
boots from the CD (but then no icons appear ?!).

'Bad loadfile hunk' is normally caused by a maxtransfer setting via
your HD (files get corrupt): I can rule that out completely. when
creating an Emergency Boot Disk all relevant files are copied from
the OS 3.9 CD. This I know, since I ran snoopdos to examine what was
happening.

Additional Info:

I am using a PowerFlyer Z-IV FastATA IDE controller. It states in
the PowerFlyer manual to disable the ROM update by renaming the
AmigaOS ROM Update (since the Flyer already recognizes assigned 64
bit operations). I've therefore renamed the 'AmigaOS ROM Update'
file on my Emergency Disk (to prevent the ROM update from being
applied when booting from my Emergency Disk). Still no joy though.
All I get are the above errors (which I've listed above).

I want to perform a 'fresh' installation. Until I can find someone
who can provide a possible solution, I can't install OS 3.9...

Any help would be appreciated. I feel like I'm banging my head
against a brick wall and my head hurts 8)

Kind regards,
