Afraid I've never had a problem renaming anything, either by the icon in the
toolbar or if I hold the lmb down on the text longer.
Just checked and it looks like your only allowed 30 characters per file
name, including of course the .mp3 for instance. Way more than Windows ever
allowed (until recently at least) at least, and you can have spaces if you
want (though Windows wouldn't like that).
