Ask on the MakeCD mailing list, there are more MakeCD users there than
here.
All modern drives ought to work with MakeCD. If you can't find someone
who has already used the same combination, the safest option is to buy
from somewhere that will give a refund or exchange for a different drive
if it doesn't work for you.
