Subject:CDRW-It works (with posb. problems)

Hi all,

Got myself a CDRW today. It's a Teac 54EK. I have successfully written a
CDRW (Audio format) and it is recognised and plays back okay in the CDRW
drive.

However the resultant CDRW will not play back ineither my cdrom drive or the
two CD players in the house. The cd players are approx 3-5 years old and the
cdrom drive is about 2-3 years old.

Is the reason it won't play back on anything else because of:

a) The drive it was recorded on has a problem.
b) The playback drives are old.
c) It is a CDRW and some drives cannot read them anyway (So in other words a
cdr might work okay in them).

If anybody has any answers I would be most greatful. Before you say anything
I will be subscribing to the makecd list, it is just that when I tried
earlier I did not receive any mails.

regards

Lewis
