You cannot really tell until you have tried the
SCSI as your main drive. In my experience it takes
longer cold booting from a drive on the SCSI-Kit.
However, you can speed up warm booting by setting
the prefs in the UnitControl utility to be looking
for your main drive only. It is possible to do
this as a DOS command with arguments, so that you
can have an entry in the user-startup.
Unfortunately I cannot remember the correct syntax.
Neil Bothwick would know, but maybe he is still
busy moving?

Surely DCE cards come with newer software than this?
I got my B1260 nearly four years ago with v43.
There were upgrades on the Phase5 web page,
and I believe the last version was 46?
Search for "Phase5" or "Blizzard" on your CUCDs and
AFCDs, as I believe the upgrades were there also.
(Maybe even on one of the early AACDs?)
Again, Neil would know :-)
Sorry about being so vague,
but there is no Blizzard here
as I am commuting.
