Sorted out my problem: it was the PASSTHROUGH setting
on my setup (CV3D + one monitor) it should be:
Environment: NOPASSTHROUGH = 0 (so it can be used by the tooltypes)
Tooltypes: PASSTHROUGH = 1
Now it works
