Subject: | Yam 2.3 slow??? |
Hey all,
I recently upgraded to the latest Yam and ever since I've installed it, it
seems to be *alot* slower - mainly when checking for new mail... I recall
someone having this problem many months ago... :)
But it's worth all those bugfixes (used to crash or freeze often when
opening readmessage or newmessage windows)
And just a quick question - is it normal for Yam to cease multitasking
within itself when you "send" a message you've just typed? For example, I
can't open any other windows or change folders (comes up with wait pointer)
until it's finished sending the message... If I choose "Send Later" then
"Send" mail in outgoing folder, I can still do everything...
And while I'm here - another gripe which I remember used to happen in a much
older version of Yam (I can't remember if it was a setting I changed or if
it was a bug) - when you select a different folder, it highlights the first
unread message in the folder, which may be a month or a week old for
example, instead of putting you at the top of the message list (to show the
last received message)... I know it's not to do with the "order" of messages
as I've played around with that already... It still makes no difference
which order the messages are displayed in anyway...
