I was going on the basis that Nicholaus was discontented with his modem
speed with respect to Shoutcast streams. Of course, highly text-based
transmissions (such as email) can benefit from higher serial rates than
115200 baud, but binary streams such as Shoutcast are unlikely to show any
increase in performance (even a drop in performance, if the serial card or
modem cannot sustain 230400 baud reliably).
