You save a small amount of time if you specify the DNS servers in stead
of Miami having to find them each time. You'll also need to set Dynamic
DNS to Ignore in the TCP/IP settings.

Yes. I've always used static DNS servers with MiamiDx. It's also handy
if you dial into another ISP that has slow DNS (remember RHA?) and you
are still using the fast servers from elsewhere.
