Surely the fan (which is different and larger to my old one and all the photos
I've seen of CS-PPCs) can deliver enough cooling to run the PPC while it's
missing only one blade? If I boot with no startup and do an immediate
"setpatch;mountenv;run statppc;status" the statppc program does nothing. The
68k side status shows the 68k-side management process but it doesn't react at
all.
NB> A new fan should fix it, just get the slimmest 40mm fan you can find,
NB> delivering at least 5.5 cfm.
I think I'll just let PowerComputing sort it out. I'm not going to mess around
with something that's cost me £560 while it's still under warrentee.
