Hello all.
I've just read AA22 and thought I'd install TitleShadow and Env-Handler.
Downloaded the files from the AA web site, followed the instructions,
installed, rebooted and ........problems!
I kept getting a requestor asking me to 'insert volume ENV in any drive'
After cancelling the requestor, W/Bench eventually booted but the Title
Shadows were crap! Using the prefs program tidied them up nicely.
Reboot, 'insert volume ENV in any drive' - cancel requestor-W/Bench boots-
crappy title shadows again! Open TitleShadow prefs, click save. Reboot-
guess what?
I removed Env-Handler just in case I'd screwed up which parts of the startup
sequence should be replaced. It made no difference.
I finally commented out TitleShadow and things started to work properly
again!
In a fit of amazing logic (well, for me anyway!) I moved the TitleShadow
line form just after 'setpatch' to after all the system assigns, just before
'FBlit' and 'Bind Drivers'.
Now everthing works as it should, no more requestors and and the shadows are
working without having to 'save' them after every boot.
I've already sent a bug report to the author, has anyone else had a similar
problem?
