It probably was - it had been sat in a cupboard for 3 - 4 months doing nothing
(I was hanging on to it 'til I knew the '060 was OK. BUT, it's a normal
removable battery on the '040. It's soldiered on the '060 board.

Neil has answered this - it gets the date from the date the partition was
"created" which matches with what info tells me. Strange really, 'cos I've been
using this drive for over 2 years.

Probably - anyone know what type of battery an Apollo 1260 Turbo uses - it's
white with no markings whatsoever?
