To be honest most of the banking and credit card sites use JAVA which
on the Amiga browsers is either lacking or unable to parse MS java
script errors. (Intentional or not).
Simple things like on ebay - relisting an item uses javascript. If I
use Voyager it get a notice that it's been 10 seconds on a script -
continue or cancel -
Using IBrowse it parses java script and continues on -
However using PayPal I need SSL encryption - I cannot use Miami as
Miami will not send me the SSL libraries I need - so I use Voyager.
PayPal (using my Premier Business PayPal ATM Debt Card) shows
transactions IMMEDIATELY (on their paypal site).
I use the card - go home - and 5-10 minutes later on my computer it
shows a transaction completed 10 minutes before.
So I am happy with PayPal.
If I recall correctly when you sign up for PayPal and they verify your
account they send you a PIN or identifcation number via snal mail to
use to complete the verification process.
I received my PIN number (via US mail) 1 or 2 days after signing up for
PayPal.
I find this to be acceptable - safe and secure. I have no complaints
with PayPal. (Believe it or not!).
