Subject:Backing Data up

Hiya all,

I'm after a bit of advice. I mate of mine in IRC has just asked me if I
could do a CDR backup of hard disk before he sells it on. Now of course I
dont mind doing this for him but I am not sure if I am going to have some
problems doing this in the first place.

The 14Gig hard disk was connected to a Buddha(spl?) interface on his A4k and
I am just wondering how I will stand on being able to connect it to my
A1200 Powerflyer system and being able to read all the hard disk so I can
do the necessary backup. (his Buddha died or summat and now he is purely
SCSI)

Should I be able to just plug the drive straight in as a slave device and
then select no split from the ata3.prefs and then read the drive fine, or
will it require more work that this?

He is pretty desparate to get the data backed up because the person he is
selling the drive is requiring the space.

Thanks for any advice,

Sam 'Stom' Thomas
