I have only just finished AA21 (!) so I haven't seen the Shogo review, but
as for LOG, I liked your view but I haven't had chance to play a demo yet so
I can't comment on the things you brought up.
If the mentioned patches do improve things somewhat, I'd suggest a couple of
paragraphs in the next AA would be in order, perhaps a new conclusion and
re-scored...
