Yes, I know.

You evidently know it. But look again and you'll find a lot of jokes that
aren't about sex. Twisted, yes :)

Yup! :)

It's not a "political correctness gone mad world". You wrote an innuendo
about female genitalia. It was cut. Given the type of mag Amiga Active is,
that was the right decision.
Put it this way - you only found it funny because you could point to it,
have a giggle and say "look how naughty I am" (the only humour that lies in
innuendo). That fails to have an effect if a) the reader finds the subject
matter offensive or inappropriate or b) the reader just doesn't care how
naughty you're being.

The last time I read a copy of Loaded was 3 years ago. I don't buy into the
lad culture.

I always thought the reviews in Amiga Power were entertaining, and they
didn't resort to that sort of humour. Basically it all boils down to gearing
your text at the audience it's being sold to. That's probably why your joke
was cut. It doesn't matter if it's only one, or two - if it's out of tune
with the rest of the mag it jars, and if the rest of the mag was like that
it'd be no better than a generic PC mag with a Lara Croft clone on the
cover.
Cheers,
James
