Somehow I think that was all talk. I submitted for the new cds on the
Portal too. Didnt even get a confirmation that I had done that and I
dont ever expect the cds to turn up...not that it matters now Im 90%
through the game atm ;-)

This is probably due to your CD being too fast!!!!!! (I know, I
know....TOO fast?? but its true.)
I have several old 4x CD roms laying around here - ALL of which read
all of the 3 NL cds perfectly. The 20x cd and even the 16x cdrw both
fail to read the cds properly. creating massive read/write errors.
Also - running the game from CD slows NL down massively. The best
thing to do is use the old cd drive that reads the nl cds ok and copy
the entire CD to Hard drive one CD at a time. Then when u are onto
cd 2 delete cd1 from hd (i put them in a totally differnt place to
the actual Nightlong program) and install cd2. (u will need to do
the following then:
"assign q: cd0:" (for assign to cd1 to start the game)
start nl. hit esc to goto load/save screen. select game to load.
it'll ask for cd2/3)
hit Left Amiga+N to goto wb.
"assign q: dismount"
"assign q: PathOfNightlong2/3 cd on HD:"
then amiga+m to go back to NL and hit enter
Using the HD for the files will speed things right up and using the
slow CD will allow the copy of the files in the first place!

yes. see above :)
Hope that helps, and if anything is unclear just ask ;-)
