Hello all,
I have been contacted by a fellow amigan who is having problems sending
e-mails with his new 56K modem.
He had no problems with his old modem.
He would contact the list himself if he could, but any internet connection
is like wading through treacle. We have checked his serial prefs and they
are the same as mine as I also have 56K modem.
he is using 1200 with ram pack, OS3.5, Yam 2.3, AWeb (probably from 3.5) and
Miami.
Yam will not delete any mails on the server, so he keeps getting duplicate
mails. Yam downloads some of the mails, then hangs and the only way out is
to disconnect Miami. Yam also says his hard-drive is full, although he can
see there is plenty free.
AWeb is as bad.
Is 020 sufficient for a 56k modem? His accellerator is broken at present.
Any suggestions on any of the above I will pass on to him.
I would ask on the Yam list but I am not subscribed.
I know someone has mentioned using internet access on a plain 1200 recently,
but I can't find the details. If it's you, please mail me off-list.
