That's why he's getting duplicates. Until YAM sends a QUIT command to
the server, no mails are deleted.

On all partitions? If so, check for any sort of errors on the affected
partition.

It depends on the modem. He may need to reduce his serial speed to 38400
with an 020. Some 56K modems won't like this. Your comment about slow
speed fits in with trying to run the serial port too fast. The errors
caused by this slow the connection right down.
