Im not familier with the clockup card(I assume its that 4 way clock port adapter?)
Anyhow in order for twister to work (apart from it being connected right way round) is that
im pretty sure the driver only works on Port/Unit 0.
Also make sure theres no patch inthe system that blocks off the pcmcia resources and the twister
seems to use card.resource which would be removed from sys if such a patch were used(like one inblizzkick).
Apart from that im not sure what else can be done :(
Have you tried the twister connected to the clock port on its own ?
