Subject: | Slow booting |
Hello all,
Here's the deal, since I put the Amiga in a tower, if I power up from cold (and
I mean cold - 15 or 20 minutes since I powered down), the HD will not boot. I
power down and power up again, and the HD is recognised, but the keyboard isn't.
I power down and up again, and both HD and keyboard are recognised. However,
this time I get the "Insert Disk" screen, and have to soft reboot to get my
system up and running. After that, it's fine.
If I've had my system on in the last 15 or 20 minutes these problems don't
materialise.
I have the EZKey keyboard interface with a PC keyboard, and am using the same IDE
drive AND cable that I was in the desktop without any problems.
I haven't made any modifications to my startup-sequence either.
Any ideas?
All the best
Steve.
