Hello,
Watched Cast Away (two words)last night.Not just a bloke stuck on a desert
island.Tom Hanks is in great form.The film's a long one,over two hours.It
could have done without dragging out the ending with americanized smulch(-1
point for that)but the rest of the film was great.The scene where the plane
first gets into trouble was brilliantly executed.One second-peacefull
flight,the next second-whoosh! It made me jump.
When he starts talking to a ball for half the film he Hanks really
convinces us to care what happens to it(have you ever felt sad about a
ball?)One for a second viewing i think.9/10 minus i for the drawn out
ending plus one for Wilson(the ball)=9/10
