Yes, it's buggy here too. Has Paul ever made a stable program?

Painting seems very slow - it draws a trail which is then converted to
what you want, whereas TVPaint shows you airbrush, colorize, etc in real
time. Imagemaster also does trails, but I would use that for a
particular tool or effect, then go back to a general paint program.

I had a look but it didn't seem to be practical.

Very comprehensive but I don't like the interface at all. However,
somebody said it works much better with a graphics tablet. Next thing
to buy.

It just has so many user-friendly touches. The magnify mode is
particularly good. It is lacking with customisable media and animbrushes.
The feathered edges on brushes are good, but you should be able to apply
an alpha channel to a brush.

The best for lettering, logos, diagrams and detailed work (but
Brilliance is good for pixel by pixel stuff too). The ARexx scripts for
use with outline fonts are excellent. Moving around in magnify mode is
extremely slow.

The same 256-colour limit applies to ProMotion, the DPaint clone for
Windows, which is otherwise nice.

Must try that one.
