Thats ok then. When you save the prefs I guess its putting the time/date on
that you saved them correctly? I know I have been having problems recently
where I save something in GoldED (Startup-sequence for example) and after I
quit and reboot I find that the changes have not infact been saved to the
hard disk. I guess that it could be a simmilier thing to what you are
getting? (I need to resave the file a couple of times to make sure the
changes are written) - I am wondering if it is to do with PFS3 at the
moment.

I dont know how the A4k version of the Flyer software works, but once the
ata3.driver is run on the A1200 version I can not run the Ataprefs program
again until I do a cold reboot and run it all from the startup-sequence
(before ata3.driver is run)

Guess you are sure that the thing is being initialised properly on startup?
(does the a4k version have its control software in a on board bootrom?)

Try saving the prefs a few times over and see if that works, if not, delete
the envarc prefs file and the one in env: also. see what happens then.
(unless, the prefs is saving the new settings to the copy in env: instead
of the envarc: one?)

Its a binary file as far as I know, so what ever you get from that wont
represent what settings are saved.

Have you tried email support@elbox.com to see if they have any suggestions?
