Subject: | [amiga-c] Getting GCC to work on Amiga |
Hello to anyone who reads this :)
I have attained GCC 2.7.0 from Aminet and have used the supplied installer to install to Ami.
I can not find how to start the IDE (Front End) I assume that there is one ??? I have been spoilt on my PC with offerings from Borland and Microsoft for their C/C++ IDE. and on Linux, there is a very nice ide for gcc.
I have tried compiling from within the Ami Shell but I get an error stating that gcc unknown command ??? I have checked the User-startup, and it has done assigns but as GNU, but I am assuming GCC lies within this directory.?
Do I have the most up to date version for Amiga, I am assuming that I do as this is from Aminet, though I understand that Storm Supplied on developer CD uses 2.95 specially adapted by H&P. ( I do not have this yet )
I have SAS C/C++ 6.58 installed and I am using this at the moment, but this has no manuals for it, and finding all the compiler commands is a matter of using Amiga guides. This is ok but as I use gcc on PC I figured that it would be easier to use gcc on Amiga as well.
Any help appreciated
