The same is true for me to some extent. I never got a copy from Aminet,
so I don't really even know what's up there. I just know it's old! :-)

My understanding of the problem is that Aminet wants all archives in a
standard format (.lha) and the GG archives are not in that format, nor can
they be as lha does not preserve file links.

I suppose one could run lha on the .tgz files, but that seems a little
silly to me. The other problem is that this would have to be done every
time there is an update, or you have exactly the same situation. Maybe
the ideal solution would be to get the files removed and put a
HowToGetGCC.text in place of them.
