How many Amiga games developers have jumped to Linux, to continue
development? Very few, I'd imagine.
The Amiga market is too small for most people to warrant writing games any
more. Games generally take a lot more effort to write than utilities (you
usually need different people for gfx, sound, coding, etc.), which is why
there are far more utility uploads than game uploads to Aminet each day.
I'd think most developers who jump to Linux just want to develop
utilities/applications, because, as you rightly say, there is hardly any
market for games there either.

Which developers exactly do you have in mind? I can't think of many
commercial Amiga games developers who changed to write games for Linux,
because it doesn't make good business sense (Windows is a far more viable
option).
If you're referring to PD developers, how much more money were they earning
from Shareware on the Amiga? Not a lot, I would think.
Personally, I'm very supportive of open source, free software. However, I
don't write games because the market is too small (on the Amiga and Linux),
and the effort needed doesn't warrant the gain (i.e. nothing :)). I do,
however, write applications/utilities because although there is no financial
gain, I find them very interesting to write (I find games tend to be very
tedious to write).
