unfortunately you don't say whether you are using a 4 way buffered interface or what software you are using if any ,
a little bit more info is required here to help you with this one ,

You should have no problems with the second harddrive having the same device names, AmigaOS
will detect them and automatically change them with the volume extension e.g first drive HD0 second
drive would be seen by AmigaOS as HD0.1 THIS IS PERFECTLY SAFE.
