Subject: | PFS problems.. |
Morning everyone :-) (depending where you are!)
I'm having a slight niggle with PFS3 (v18.5).
Recently one or two of my drives have been running sluggishly, so I decided
to try out the PFS-Defrag program on aminet to try and clear the problem
up. I backed all my data up first of all just incase so I wouldnt loose
anything. Part way through the _back-up_ process I get 'HD8: is a Non DOS
disk,' with Retry or Abort buttons. If I retry the backup continues and the
backup is complete (same size).
I also tried PFS-Defrag on it and it did exactly the same thing, where as on
another partiton it runs fine (my Games: one)
Could it just be a simple case of a program running in the background
attempting to write to the partition while its 'invalid'? It always tends
to give the error about 5seconds into the backup or defrag operation.
I also tried remaking the partition to no avail! :-/
Any ideas?
