I've got an internal SD/FF and it seems to give off almost no heat (its
pretty cool even when my desktop A1200's been on for a while).
Anyway I very much doubt that heat will be a problem as I've had an 040&PPC
card, Harddisk and the SD/FF in a desktop case with no problems. (Tho now I
have an external SCSI harddisk)
One thing you will have to do, however, is cut a whole near the back of the
top RF shield's top section to let the SD's ribbon cable out, and you'll
want to put a bit of paper between the scandoubler and the metal shield so
you dont short it. (unless you dont have the top section of the shield in
and use some custom hd mount. Or you have a 2.5" drive?
Anyway for that reason you may want an external one, but be warned, external
ones dont always like some A1200s, for instance I got a 2nd hand external
flicker fixer and it just wouldnt work, I gave it back and it worked fine,
but I've never had any touble with the internal one.
