This is not a problem of the scan doubler/flicker fixer, but a problem
with certain A1200 revisions. My A1200 had a big problem and I managed
to repair it by using a resistor to lower the voltage being supplied to
one of the m/b chips. This is my own fix and works for me. I have also
given this fix to someone else and it worked for them. However, I
stress that I take absolutely no responsibility for anyone trying this.
If you want to know the details I drew up a diagram and have got it on
the HD somewhere........ Mail me off list. I have heard that one other
person has managed to solve the heat problem by litteraly changing one
of the chips on his A1200 m/b (fine if you don't mind a bit of smt
desoldering/soldering). As I understand it, most people don't have a
problem.
