| Subject: | STRICQ and networked amigas. |
Hello,
O.K. so it's been a long time since I registered an ICQ account on my main
Amiga, but now I need to do it again.
This is the problem.
I have two Amiga 1200s here and I have just networked them together with
MiamiDX so that they both share the internet and devices. Whilst the
network is running I decided to try and register another ICQ account on the
second machine (not the server/host) using STRICQ (version 0.01731).
I filled in the details as normal and got a UIN, and even when I run STRICQ
it says that it's online...but I cannot get new contacts. It doesn't seem
to have registered properly because there is no details about the account
on www.icq.com either. I have also got others to try and see it on the
internet but it appears not to be working properly.
Does anyone know what has gone wrong? Does STRICQ work on networks? What
do I do to get it working?
