As I pointed out many times in the past....Amiga are *a software company*
... and running on the old PuP boards gives them 5,000 to 10,000 customers.

5000 * $50 = $250,000 ....revenue! They`re coding, testing, duplicating and
distributing OS4.x already (spread the overhead), just need someone to do
the middle layer (HAL?) Optimism to capture 50% of the potential working
market...maybe, who knows?

$50 versus $750 (guess at AmigaOne = $700) would be worth the risk for more
people I think. When they see how good (hopefully) OS4.x is...maybe Eyetech
get an AmigaONE sale too!

Of course, since Amiga surely gets a licensing fee for every AmigaONE sold
with OS4.x they get revenue anyway (plus a royalty for use of the
name?).....

Looks like a viable business model to me if they could talk Ralph into
writing a couple o` new flashroms :-)
