I wanted to discuss why the announcements said *only* the AmigaOne
will be supported by OS 4.0 - what is the point of the zico spec
if only one machine is allowed to be supported ?
Gary Peake only had the reply "What did it say in the press release
?", which pretty much killed that line of discussion for me.
I said I was being pedantic when I picked up on the original
error. Even after all this hoo-ha and 1 modification, *a pedant*
could argue the wording is still wrong (Amiga never made an 060
cpu).

I think it sounds like a great product, just not interesting to me.
I'd argue with Don Cox, I don't think people buying Amithlon will
encourage developers who have moved away from Amiga to come back.
PC owners are used to being able to get half their software for
"free". UAE users encouraged the re-pirating of games software.
Why will Amithlon users be any different ?
If it allows PC owners to see that their machines can be dirt quick
with a real OS they might come back to the fold but they are going to
need a (insert Microsoft product) compatible replacement for
whatever they use their PC for now.

It's always nice to hear news and progress from AI but the
AmigaOne stuff was mainly an announcement about the previous
announcement.
Still watching and waiting...
