by default they come configured for 70ns. use the early startup to change
into 60ns mode or vice versa

nope. just means your 60ns RAM hasnt been used to its fullest.
note, the BPPC is VERY touchy. some '60ns' memory doesnt work (funny
system hangs/crashes are the symptom)
