err, if that 10000RPM drive was for the size i wanted I'd buy it. why?
well, the internal IDE cant handle the raw-xfer speeds, but those faster
drives give faster seek times..which DO benefit the internal IDE
- and i always think of the future...such a drive would go nicely in, for
example, AmigaONE or bplan box

..but then you'd never buy a drive or hardware. depending on the cost of
what your interested in , the basis for buying a 16x (for example) instead
of the 8x, even though your current interface can only run it at 8x, could
be sound.

Its all about supply and demand...sure, the SCSI kit is nice, but if
theres only a few thousand users worldwide...well, they'll stop making
them.
Mac users with IDE use the IDE drive :-)
