I *highly* recommend http://www.fotopic.net/ if you want to have an online
gallery. The site runs on custom made scripts and the admin is certainly
competent. The gallery is configurable by you and your viewers and works very
well, giving you such goodies as thumbnail previews, a screen-sized viewer and
options to view the full-size image or even download a PDF printable image.
The only problem is that they're not paying me write things like this! :)
