It won't, unfortunately. To use the PCMCIA port for that, you need
something like the promised Eyetech EZcam, which supplies the missing
electronics from the A1200s port, and also enables you to front mount
the device in a Tower.

There is a solution, by using a SCSI PC card reader, as we've been
discussing, but if you don't have SCSI, that's that one out the window
