So it does.
The problem seemed to stem from not specifically the picture.datatype but
one of the new PPC ilbm.datatypes
Switching to an older ilbm.datatype and picture.datatype has solved the
problem. The v43 a 68k only picture.datatype also seems a lot faster than
the PPC one that comes with OS3.9 too, illogical but true.
Thanks for the help Neil, it is not always true that the latest version is
the best one !
