Subject: | Help needed with OS3.9 installation |
Hi,
I wondered if anybody had come across a similar problem to the one I
experienced last night with my first attempt at installing OS3.9?
Basically, I created the emergency boot disk in preperation for wiping my
current OS 3.1 installation, ready for a fresh start. The boot disk seemed
to be created without any problems. However when I booted my amiga using the
disk I got the following error messages:
"CACHE CDFS - Cannot open "SCSI-Apollo.device" unit"
"SYSTEM REQUEST - Please Insert Volume Amiga OS 3.9 in any drive"
So it looks like the boot disk is having problems locating my CD drive. The
CD unit is connected to the amiga via an Apollo 060 '50 expansion card with
a SCSI adapter(my amiga is an A1200). I've not had any previous problems
accessing or using the CD unit within OS 3.1.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
John
