according to Hyperion, the info they have on the matrox will enable
support BACK to os3.9 - i assume that means drivers for current PCI/AGP
solutions...trouble is there seems to be a lack of PCI G450's :-|

of *course* theres SCSI info...theres loads of it. in fact i was expecting
SCSI cards to quickly follow the first wave of gfx drivers....it'd be a
BIG selling point. and as AmigaOS supports SCSI as new device drivers
it'd be straight in - the only thing is you couldnt boot off of em....but
everyone could have cheaper SCSI CDR, Tape, fast-disks, scanners etc.
oh yes, give me an Adaptec 2940UW for 40 quid, an epson scanner and a
yamaha/plextor 16x SCSI and i'll be very happy.
good news is all of that would be supported as soon as the SCSI was
accessible (there are drivers for SCSI scanners and cdwriters for all the
major apps on AmigaOS).
currently my only SCSI options are... one, sell my Amiga and get an A4k
and start again, 2 sell my PPC and get the SCSI version (ouch), or get a
SCSI surf-squirrel...hmmm, 16bit with < 8Mb/s speed at 100% CPU load? no
thanks
