There are a fair number of graphic-based add-ons (ie. scanners and digital
cameras) that are TWAIN compliant. This is a bit of an industry standard.
The good news is that the specs for this are freely available on the 'net.
That's two of the most important things you'd want a USB port for. Mice,
keyboards, modems, etc. may also have a generic standard as well. I'd say
that Zip drives, and possibly broad-band (ADSL, cable, etc) decoders may be
closely guarded.

That'll be fine for OS4 users. Anything earlier may be left high and dry
though.
