Which is essential moving forward. Up to now almost anyone wanting to offer
online services be it Banking, Utilities, general retailing or whatever has
been able to hit almost all the market by supporting IE and Netscape rather
than standards.

As Bill's (and everyone else's) digital devices appear ubiquity will need to
be the watchword. Now any provider can hit 98% plus of their market by
following the crowd, but in the future to survive you've got to be everywhere
- desktop, pda, mobile phone, webpad, TV, wristwatch communicator or whatever
or you run the risk of losing market share by not even having an offering for
a significant segment of the population.

Hang on, I'm supposed to be on holiday :(
