Subject: | Help wanted re travan tape |
Greets,
My PC "burned up" a few weeks ago, with symptoms like a bad
lightning strike - except there was no lightning. Every active
component, including motherboard, were fried.
A new PC has been built for me by a friend and will be delivered to
me soon. However I've lost all files from the fried hard drive,
and my backups are on 2 travan tapes which I can't read as the
travan drive was also fried.
I wonder if there's anyone out there, in the UK, who has a travan
tape drive that can read "TR-4" tapes (4/8 Gb) _and_ a CD writer?
If so, would he/she be willing to copy just one of my tapes to 1 or
2 CDs? I would of course pay all expenses.
Replies by email preferred.
John
